 The most beautiful tranquil place with so much to do! The rain didn’t stop our fun & our girls absolutely loved helping Michelle with the ducks & chickens! We will 💯 be back next year to see the place in full bloom and hopefully some ☀️ 🥰 thank you xxx

 We had a beautiful 4 night stay, and it was perfect. Amazing hosts, beautiful surroundings and peace.
The accommodation is clean and well though out.
Lovely residents in the form of ducks, chickens and a cute pooch.
Great location for trips out, half way between Whitby and Goathland (Harry Potter and heartbeat fans)
Could have stayed forever ! A real slice of paradise ✨️

 This place is wonderful, we had a great weekend staying. Very clean and tidy, it was nice to have our own space around the bell tent. Often sites are busy and packed tightly together.

We would definitely recommend this…

It easily looked after 2 adults, 2 boys and a wee dog..🤩

Hidden Gem! 5*What an amazing few days we spent at Alum House, the surroundings are just beautiful, the facilities were immaculate and the location is great.Michelle and Glen were so warm and welcoming, we didn’t want to leave.We will be visiting again, highly recommend.

Liked: Literally everything! The couple running the place couldn’t do more for us!! We used the BBQ on the first night, the hot tub on multiple occasions and toasted s’mores on our final night over the fire! The sound of the river is sooo relaxing when getting to sleep and i went home dreaming of the bed! We had the best stay and I couldn’t recommend it more.

Liked: Was fantastic, glamping tent great, bed comfy, had everything you need for a relaxing break. Loved spending the evenings sat around the fire chatting and reading. Spent the days visiting local towns such as Whitby and doing walks on the moors to see the waterfalls. Hosts were lovely felt relaxed and welcoming

Liked: Our stay at Alum House was just perfect. We stayed in the Roe Deer and everything we needed was thought of. Michelle was a lovely host and met us on arrival to show us around the yurt and facilities. The grounds are really well kept and toilet/shower block is immaculate. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely look at booking again in the future.

Liked: The location was beautiful, it was very clean, it was really quiet, the bell tent was pretty and very comfortable and the hot tub was perfect- there's no WiFi so it's a really great chance to step away from everything

Absolutely stunning location, so quiet we could hear the stream bubbling and the owls hooting in the night, we had the Jenny Wren bell tent with two adults and two children and there was plenty of room. Loads of outside space to run around, the owners are so friendly, and tent itself was so pretty! Clean bathroom with full shower, super comfortable bed too. We told Michelle it was our son's birthday and she very kindly set up balloons and lights for him for a small fee which just made his weekend.Hot tub was very welcome in the evenings once the kids were asleep, we will be back! Definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved this place, such good hospitality, very kind and friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us, we had their homemade pizza on arrival even though we got there quite late, and the hot tub all heated up and ready to jump in, we got extra wood when asked for it too, they really couldn’t do enough for us, the tent was very clean and tidy, and so cozy and I haven't also so well in weeks, and waking to the sound of the stream and bird song well that’s just on another level, we will definitely be going back 😊

 Alum House is an absolutely beautiful glamping location.
Michelle and Glen are lovely people, eager to help make your stay perfect.

Liked: This was like a little corner of paradise. Beautifully quiet, with a soundtrack of just rustling leaves, birdsong and the babbling brook running a short distance behind the tent. Michelle and Glen were lovely hosts, the stone fired pizzas and breakfast baps were delicious. The tent was spacious and nicely furnished. The bed was comfy with lots of extra blankets. The wood fired hot tub was lovely, and the dedicated bathroom for each tent was a nice touch. My only criticism would be the camp beds and sleeping bags provided if there was more than two of you staying didn’t seem in keeping with the standard of the rest of the tent and my kids ended up in the main bed with me, not least for the warmth.Disliked: Beds and bedding for my children.

What a great little hidden gem! Tucked away in little beck, the site is nice and private and has a small stream at the bottom which is really peaceful.Glen and Michelle couldn't be more helpful and went out the way to make you feel welcome.Also don't forget to say hi to the Ducks 😃

Absolutely amazing little place. Lovely clean tents, cosy beds, private, nice private shower/toilet block, lovely location, great pizzas, Michelle is a wonderful host and can not do enough for you.

It is an absolutely beautiful setting, luxury glamping at its finest. Michelle and Glen are so welcoming and there is very little they haven’t thought of or got covered…if you can think of it, you need only ask!

We stayed in Roe Deer, sunken in its own plot surrounded by trees, wild flowers and neighboured by the gorgeous beck - simply idyllic 💖

Alum House is in a remote location, surrounded by gorgeous countryside walks, cracking scenery and a short drive (or walk if that’s your thing!) to the coast.

Liked: Everything.friendly staff, lovely site and fantastic bell tent on a great location.Disliked: Nothing

100% recommend Alum House for the most perfect getaway! The place is beautiful and the hosts Michelle and Glen can't do enough for you. We stayed with our two springers and had the best weekend, surrounded by lovely walks and scenery there's plenty to do, then get back to your hot tub and some delicious food made by Glen and Michelle after a long day of adventures 🙂 we can't wait to come back!

Where do I start.!The place is stunning, the area is beautiful and the hosts are amazing. The pod we stayed in was so cozy and we had a lovely log fired hot tub. Michelle and Glenn were so friendly and we had lovely chats with them. Obviously can’t forget the daily welcome we got from their adorable dog. We will 1000% be back again 🥰

Wonderful, friendly, perfect place to stay for a 'glamping' break. Lovely private pitches well separated from others and a host who really cares about making it a good experience.

I could not recommend Alum House enough!! We've been twice now, first for my 30th, the second for our mini moon. They even got a bell tent up a week early for us. Michelle and Glen are the most genuine and easy going people. You feel so welcome and well looked after. We walked in to a lovely gesture of balloons, Prosecco on ice and the hot tub heated. Beyond fabulous, getting lost in nature with a hot tub and stream trickling behind us. There is also talk from the locals of otters on the stream but there rarely ever seen and I was lucky enough to get to see one. Everything is just so clean, well prepared and welcoming. We can't wait to book again!!!!

This place is an absolute gem! We had a really lovely stay here with the family, the kids loved the chickens! The tents have everything you could want, they are super comfy with lovely lighting and lots of personal little touches. The facilities are great too! Michelle and Glen are fantastic hosts- they really made us feel welcome! We will definitely be coming back next year! Thank you so much for making our stay so special xxx

Liked: Everything! The bell tent was beautiful and the site was gorgeous. The hosts are so welcoming and will help you with anything you need. Everything you can think of is already provided. Cooking facilities were great and the huge flasks were fab for morning cuppas. The site is very well kept and the star gazing at night is spectacular. The animals on site are an added extra and we even got to see a deer 🦌. We loved our holiday at Alum house. We visit Whitby every year in the school holidays and this is our favourite place to date. Thank you to Michelle and Glen for a wonderful stay! We will be back :))Disliked: Nothing!

this is our second time here , it's an absolutely wonderful place, Michelle and Glen are lovely and also the new addition Vlad the duck and not forgetting Zola the dog, peaceful back to nature lots of wildlife.

Liked: Great location, private and secluded. Considerate host, everything that we needed was provided. Comfortable bed and the wood stove heated the tent up nicely.

Me and my boyfriend Ewan stayed at Alum house, little beck, this weekend for my 20th birthday! Michelle was a lovely lady and a brilliant host to us! This weekend was a surprise to me so when we turned up I was absolutely amazed in how beautiful and cosy this place was, with a hot tub already heated for us on arrival ! It was very secluded, we had our own private hot tub and garden with a bbq and fire pit. It was truly beautiful and an amazing weekend away! 100% would recommend for a relaxing glamming trip!

Liked: All of it was fantastic but the only thing I would recommend is that you go to alum House little beck website as there is a lot more information about the tent and stuff.

Liked: Met by the lovely host Michelle upon arrival who talked us through all the amenities and showed us around the area. Our hot tub was already stoked up for us and ready to go. The accommodation was huge and you can’t describe it as a ‘tent’ at all. Lovely big comfortable bed and and double pull out for our daughter. The outside area is lovely and spacious and private. We enjoyed stoking up the fire pit at night to toast marshmallows before a late dip in the hot tub again. With you’re own toilet and shower you’ve got again the privacy you need. The ‘site’ appears to be in the middle of no where but so close to Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay etc. The hosts Michelle and Glen were lovely and will stand and chat and make you feel so welcome.
